BSW has made my children feel very special. I hope that the program will continue to grow so that other children can feel just as special.

What is Buffalo String Works?

Buffalo String Works is a music organization serving Buffalo's refugee and immigrant community. We believe that music is a universal language and can help families who are new to Buffalo feel at home in a new city.

What do we do?

We provide FREE, after-school music lessons in violin, viola, cello, and bass. We provide instruments for all students to take home for the year.

When and where are lessons?

DAYS: Monday AND Wednesday

Will my child perform in concerts?

Yes! Students perform in at least 4 concerts each year. Families are invited to attend and celebrate our students' hard work.

Students are expected to attend all lessons and performances.

What I like about [Buffalo String Works] is it brings me joy and all the people who play with me. It brings joy for me and them.
